North Pier Lighthouse
Par 2 16ft
The signature hole of the West Coast Putting Club forces players to make a difficult decision right from the start. Taking the “safe” path around the catwalk, gives players a chance to putt down the base of the pier. With the lighthouse guarding the hole, water hazards on both sides and no backstop to save the ball from rolling off of the end of the pier, a good tee shot is required to escape this hole with par. Taking the challenging path up the catwalk puts all of the players skill to the test. Missing the extremely narrow ramp up the catwalk can lead to a whole host of trouble on the second, third, or even fourth shot. However, making it up the ramp provides the players an exciting moment as their ball travels a direct path to the hole through the lighthouse for a high probability at a hole in 1!
